Hi I have been using a GG-B100 for the last two-ish years and since recently I've noticed that the Hands and the Digital Display goes out of sync like every two-three weeks, This never happened before. It annoying to keep fixing it.

Easiest and cheapest way to replace it is buying a springbar (shouldn't cost more than a few cents) and cutting it open - there's a tiny spring inside (hence the name 'springbar':-d) which you can use to replace the missing alarm spring that makes contact to the piezo element on the back

If they do it right and grease the casket (or change it altogether): No. Btw you also can do this by yourself, if you're brave. The ggb100 has a bent o ring that's has a nice track to rest in. The gasket stays in place while removing the back cover. It's a nice and easy watch to change the battery on.

Jun 15, 2010 · Last and probably most relevant is some watches require the cell to be shorted to start. with proper watchmaking tools and precautions you would touch one of the open tips of your tweezers to the cell then roll the tweezers so the other tip will contact the metal bridge of the movement creating a short.
